ADVERTISEMENT FOR BID Sealed bids will be received by the El Paso Water Utilities until 2:00:00 P.M. local time WEDNDESDAY JUNE 11 2008 Bid Number 13-08 for EASTSIDE INTERCEPTOR PHASE 4A-PART 3 PROJECT in accordance with plans and specifications. Bids will then be opened and read aloud in the third floor conference room El Paso Water Utilities Building 1154 Hawkins Boulevard El Paso Texas 79925. The work under this contract shall be for furnishing all labor materials transportation and services for the construction and installation of the following work: BID PROPOSAL A (INTERCEPTOR CONSTRUCTION): Furnish and install 2057 linear feet of 48-inch fiberglass pipe 4943 linear feet 42-inch fiberglass pipe 90 linear feet of 24-inch fiberglass pipe Type A and B precast concrete manholes trench safety grubbing traffic control Master Meter Site ?E? with electrical appurtenances 60-inch bored steel casing 1-sack non-flowable fill and storm water pollution prevention plan. BID PROPOSAL B (ARTERIAL 1 BOX CULVERT IMPROVEMENTS): Construction of multiple concrete box culverts cast in place concrete wing walls concrete rip rap rock rip rap grubbing trench safety storm water pollution prevention plan periment turf reinforcement and Arterial 1 grading. BID PROPOSAL C (INTERCEPTOR CONSTRUCTION AND ARTERIAL 1 BOX CULVERT IMPROVEMENTS): Construction of both the Interceptor (Bid Proposal A) and Arterial 1 Box Culvert Improvements (Bid Proposal B) A PRE-BID MEETING will be held at 10:00 A.M. local time WEDNESDAY MAY 21 2008 in the third floor conference room El Paso Water Utilities Building 1154 Hawkins Boulevard El Paso Texas. The purpose of the PRE-BID MEETING is to review the plans and specifications and respond to questions from bidders. Qualified Local Minority and Women Enterprises are encouraged to participate in this project and will be contacted by the bidder by certified mail wherever possible. Certified receipts shall be provided as part of the bid unless the goal has been reached as evidenced by draft subcontracts included with the bid or other evidence the goal has been attained. The Utility's minimum goals for this project are: 10% for Small Locally-Owned Businesses 14% for Minority-Owned Businesses and 2% for Women-Owned Businesses. Each Bid shall be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of five percent of the amount bid.
